We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Accountant to join our team in the construction industry.
This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting, fast-paced environment where you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our projects.
You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, assisting in payroll production, and managing material inventory.
Your expertise in handling union payroll and your experience working with union facilities and/or union workers will be highly valuable in this role.
Responsibilities:
1.
Implement and maintain the TRACK Software to manage project accounting tasks and ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
2.
Assist in producing, processing, and printing checks for payroll, ensuring all transactions are accurate and timely.
3.
Manage and maintain material inventory, ensuring all costs are accurately recorded and allocated to the correct projects.
4.
Handle union payroll, ensuring all union rules and regulations are adhered to and accurately reflected in payroll processing.
5.
Liaise with union facilities and/or union workers, maintaining open and effective communication to address any financial concerns or queries.
6.
Prepare and present financial reports, highlighting any significant issues to the management team.
7.
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure financial information is accurately incorporated into project plans and forecasts.
8.
Conduct regular audits of financial processes and systems to identify and address any areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
1.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a project accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
3.
Proficiency in using TRACK software or equivalent project accounting software.
4.
Proven experience in payroll production and processing, including check printing.
5.
Strong understanding of material inventory management.
6.
Experience in handling union payroll and working with union facilities and/or union workers.
7.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
8.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and address any issues in financial processes or systems.
9.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
