Manual Machinist

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts. Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Setting up and operating horizontal lathes and mills
Determine tasks needed to complete machined products
Perform machining operations such as turning, reaming, boring, facing, and threading parts
Build product acceptance tooling and gauges
Must be able to follow job routers and blueprints to determine machining requirements; including sequence of operations, required tooling, feeds, speeds, etc
Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications
Must be able to make inspection gages from raw stock on your own from provided drawings and router instructions
Should know how to safely operate a surface grinder to less than a thousandths of a inch and achieve a 32 finish if needed
Must be flexible with working outside of scheduled quit time when Rapid turnaround work is needed by our customers.
Must learn and do various sheet metal processes
Must be able to communicate and work well with a small team of people
Demonstrate a positive attitude, along with a willingness to learn and help out when needed
All of these objectives must be carried out in a safe and appropriate manner while maintaining an acceptable level of quality and efficiency.
Experience/Education:
High school Diploma or GED required
Machinist experience a must
Knowledge of running and programming a prototrak machine is a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
